Why Build an Image Model When Your Coding Model Can Become One?
Anthropic may have no image generation model on purpose: future models will not guess pixels, but write the code that draws the image — SVG for graphics, HTML for layouts, Python for charts, and 3D engines for realistic scenes. Images made from code are precise and editable, and the text is always right. The obvious objection is photorealism, but movies and video games already create realistic images entirely from code, and a model good enough at driving those tools gets there too.
